Farnborough celebrated 60 years in 2008 with an impressive display including EADS Airbus pictured left with ring side seats for its aerial display.

The runway displays at Farnborough are impressive, unlike Paris, there were landing strip spectator areas available to hear the deafining take off of amongst others the refurbished Vulcan bomber, Red Arrows and the surprisingly impressive Eurofighter display for all that has been written about it, it should be seen in action before being judged politically. Paris seems the larger of the two, but the action is likewise removed and the temperatures less inclement. On Balance the business pavillions at the Paris Air Show are a more spritely and better laid out affair with business being done all that more briskly for it.
