Visoneering, a leading engineering consultancy for automotive, aerospace and other manufacturing industries has entered into a strategic partnership with United Aerospace Limited, a manufacturer of advanced composite solutions, also operating within these sectors.
The Coventry-based engineering specialist recognises the increasingly important role that composites play in product development within its marketplace and has established this exclusive partnership to access the capabilities of United Aerospace, using their expertise in composite development and production to expand the services offered to its clients.
United Aerospace, supplies its products and services to many OEMs and first tier suppliers within the automotive, aerospace and defence industries. The company’s facilities include full design capability, a 7.2m x 2.9m autoclave, 45 square metre programmable oven, fully extracted trimming and sanding facilities, a large clean room, a spray booth and CNC material cutting. Their development programme is constantly researching and reviewing new materials and techniques to ensure that they remain at the forefront of the industry.
Brian Horner, Chief Executive, Visioneering, says of the alliance, “We are delighted to announce this new strategic partnership with United Aerospace. We use advanced motorsport and automotive engineering, and design technology applications, for aerospace and defence programmes. With this new initiative we can further develop our expertise and maximise resources to the benefit of both companies and for our clients. There is an obvious synergy between us and I look forward to a long and successful partnership.”
Many areas of the business are already involved with composites, particularly within tooling used for the manufacture of carbon fibre composite components. Visioneering is vastly experienced in design engineering, and with comprehensive turnkey programmes can handle full size styling and engineering.
Last year Visioneering supplied its engineering capabilities to JCB DIESELMAX, which achieved a stunning 350mph (563kph) to break the world land speed record for diesel-powered in Bonneville, Utah, USA. In addition to bespoke projects such as this last speed record attempt, the enviable client list of this British firm includes many top automotive marques and aerospace manufacturers.
