Froude Hofmann, Worcester, UK is pleased to announce a joint manufacturing and marketing agreement with CSIC on behalf of their sister company Yichang Marine Diesel Engine Co., Ltd (YMD). Mrs Shen Suijia, chief economist, signed the agreement with Mr Richard Guest, Managing Director and Mr Paul Wood General manager of Froude Hofmann (Shanghai) during the recent visit by a China trade delegation to London.
The signing was formally announced by Sir Andrew Cahn, Chief Executive of UKTI who was the master of ceremonies, also present was Minister Chen and Lord Mandelson, UK Secretary of State for Business.
This partnership agreement enables us to procure and deliver marine and gas turbine dynamometers for use in facilities from open shipyards to enclosed research and development centres.

YMD is a member of the CSIC (China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation) and was established in 1970, along with Yangtze river in central China. In addition to the core business of producing large marine engines licensed from Man (B & W) and Sulzer (now Wartsila), YMD are also involved in producing heavy industrial machinery to the spectacular Three Gorges area, as well as a number of overseas business relationships with companies such as GE energy.
